What we couldn't confirm

  • ETIAS start date is unconfirmed: official pages still say 'last quarter of 2026', but a 19 Oct 2026 news report (non-official) says the EU removed that target in July 2026 and has announced no date. Re-check before publishing.
  • The official EU Annex II visa-exempt list (Reg. 2018/1806) could not be fetched. CA/GB/AU visa-exempt status is backed by general official statements about visa-exempt nationals, not by a named listing.
  • No official source was fetched on short-stay extensions. 'extendable: no' reflects the general Schengen rule; national force-majeure or bilateral-agreement exceptions are not covered.
  • Italy: the official consular sheets give the income only as 'about EUR 27,000' (3x the health-care exemption threshold of about EUR 8,263). The exact euro figure varies by consulate and year.
  • Italy: the 1-year, annually renewable permit is confirmed only by non-official sources (Assolombarda, K&L Gates); Ministry of Interior / Polizia di Stato pages could not be fetched. Confidence medium.
