What we couldn't confirm

  • ETIAS start date is unconfirmed: official pages still say 'last quarter of 2026', but a 19 Oct 2026 news report (non-official) says the EU removed that target in July 2026 and has announced no date. Re-check before publishing.
  • The official EU Annex II visa-exempt list (Reg. 2018/1806) could not be fetched. CA/GB/AU visa-exempt status is backed by general official statements about visa-exempt nationals, not by a named listing.
  • No official source was fetched on short-stay extensions. 'extendable: no' reflects the general Schengen rule; national force-majeure or bilateral-agreement exceptions are not covered.
  • Portugal nomad visa: the official consular checklist gives the rule as 4x minimum wage, not a euro figure. EUR 920 (and so EUR 3,680) comes from non-official sources citing Decreto-Lei 139/2025; the official Diário da República and DGERT pages could not be fetched.
  • Portugal nomad visa: 4-month visa, 2-year permit and 3-year renewals come only from a law-firm source; official AIMA/MNE pages could not be fetched. Confidence medium.
  • Portugal: the Madeira and Azores regional minimum wages are higher; the visa threshold uses the national figure.
